Unit 1 Orientation Learning to Learn
Overview:
The goal of this unit is to prepare learners for independent learning. To begin, learners learn what a competency is.
They are then asked to identify some of their competencies (or prior learning).
Learners are also required to set personal goals for learning.
Activities will help learners to identify their learning styles and build upon essential learning skills, such as good time management and organizational skills.
This unit is considered to be an orientation unit as it encourages learners to develop key skills for successful learning which should help them to work
more independently on the other units of study.
