Brush Care washing and storing brushes Acrylic paint dries very quickly and once it dries it is very difficult to wash out of clothes and brushes. So to store them properly when finished.
Do not use scissors to cut brushes, only for individual strands/hairs.

Using Acrylic Paints
Acrylics dry very quickly. The paint in the palette must be prevented from drying. Spray the paint with a fine mist of water every 5 minutes.
Very little paint is required to begin painting. Avoid waste! Start with small amounts of paint on the palette. You can always add more.

 Mixing Colours
Place a small amount of the colour on the palette. Add the second colour sparingly until you get the tint, shade or hue you are trying to create.

Creating Glazes, Washes and Grounds
Glazes are created by adding water or acrylic medium to the paint and are used for building layers of colour on top of each other.
Acrylics can also be used to create watercolour-style washes by adding large quantities of water to a hue.
