Plan
This section contains documents and tools to support the development of the POP program.
• Planning is the key to a
useful, fun and interesting career exploration.
• If students learn to plan how to find out more about a career area, they can transfer this knowledge into each exploration they undertake, even years from now when they will be making decisions about what career to pursue.
• Do not rush planning activities, the more complete a plan is, the more likely students will enjoy and succeed in their career exploration process. Students need guidance to help them consider the many ways of planning and developing strategies to help them cope with plans that change. This can be accomplished through simple, short activities that target a particular aspect of planning.
