A-Z Book:
Genres of Writing

This is a year long project. The goal of the project is to expose you to various genres of writing, the writing process, peer editing, and various computer layouts.

Each term you will be required to complete five pieces for this book. Each piece must be from a different genre of writing from the A-Z Book of Writing (This book is no longer available).

Requirements:

• first draft (double spaced, peer edited with sheet)
• second draft (pen or computer, hand in to teacher for feedback)
• other drafts
• cover page for each letter of the alphabet with definition of selected genre, the letter
• being represented, and a drawing
• cover page
• blurb on the author
• There will be a laminating and binding cost

Important:

• all first drafts must be peer edited and have peer editing sheet completed and attached with a staple
• all work must be stapled or will not be accepted
• all pieces of writing must have a title, your name, date, genre of writing
