This is a supplemental unit that was developed as part of the Schools of California Online Resources for Educators (SCORE) Project. As well as a culminating classroom project, this unit consists of three Internet activities in which students explore three key questions about Eric Carle and his story creations.

Exploring the ocean through literature This Web resource about oceans is written to be adaptable to the teacher's needs. It can be used as a complete unit, as a module for inclusion in a larger study or each component can be used independently. The activities are sorted by the book they compliment but could be used with any unit on the ocean. A variety of activities offer something for almost every K-12 classroom.
