The Association for Media Literacy - is an educational initiative to provide educators with access to a range of resources and an amazing community of people interested and involved in media education and literacy.

Canoe.ca -  is a vast network of online information covering news, culture, sports, health, travel, fashion and more

CBC Digital Archives - educational materials for Elementary cycle 3 and Secondary cycle 1 and 2. These materials were created to complement many of the topics posted on the Web site, and include five lessons per topic, divided by grade level. All educational materials are available free of charge.

CBC Radio and Television - Keep up to date with what is happening locally and globally .

CCA 4 Kids - designed by Concerned Children's Advertisers to help children understand what they see on television and the internet as well as develop skills to deal with everyday challenges.  Children visiting the site are able to learn how a commercial is made and can create their own.

Centre for Media Literacy - For teachers, the areas of the Reading Room, Media & Values and Best Practices provide articles, resources and ideas that place media literacy as a 21st century approach to education

Films for Change - Aimed at secondary level students, it is designed as an interdisciplinary approach to integrating National Film Board (NFB) documentaries on environmental issues across a range of classroom contexts and subject areas.  It consists of five different activities that lead students from an initial awareness, to deeper understanding, to taking action about environmental issues.

Media That Matters -  The Media That Matters Film Festival website is the premiere showcase for short films on the most important topics of the day. 

Mondo Times - The Worldwide Media Guide - This site may be a useful resource for media students at the secondary level.  There are links to over 13 000 media outlets in more than 200 countries around the world.  Search by location or topic

The National Film  Board of Canada -  Enjoy documentaries, animations, alternative dramas and interactive productions on the web. 

New Mexico Literacy Project - one of the oldest and most successful media literacy organizations in the USA.  It empowers children, youth and adults to become more critical consumers of media messages.  Their mission is to cultivate thinking and activism in our media culture to build healty and just communities.

Teachwithmovies.org - learning guides to each recommended film describe the benefits of the movie, possible problems, and helpful background.  Discussion questions, bridges to reading, projects and links to the internet are also provided
