The League of Canadian Poets
This is the national association of professional publishing and performing poets in Canada. It encourages publication, performance and recognition of Canadian poetry nationally and internationally. Resources are provided to facilitate the teaching of Canadian poetry at all levels of education.

Young Poets  - This site was created by the League of Canadian Poets and is designed to encourage and inspire young poets. The objective is to promote poetry in Canada and to promote Canadian poetry internationally. 'Young Poets' offers both a youth section and a teacher zone.  For students there is an e-zine (Re:verse) in which young poets can have their work published. They can play with words, join a forum, link to contests and articles and information that provides support and 'know how'.  For teachers there is a Poetry Teachers' Discussion list, a reading list, a digital history of Canadian poetry, and suggestions for working with students.  This site is supported by Canada Council for the Arts and the Government of Canada through the Book Publishing Industry Development Program.
