2.6 Curved mirrors

Prediction of behaviour of any incident ray

If we know the location of the center of curvature of a curved mirror, it is possible to predict the behaviour of any incident ray that strikes it.
Here are the steps:

  1. Draw the normal by joining the point of incidence to the center of curvature.
  2. Measure the angle between the normal and the ray (angle of incidence).
  3. Draw the reflected ray at the same angle of the other side of the normal.
