Since the Human Biology course is first of all a means of attaining the objectives of secondary education, it should contribute to general education by offering a series of concepts to acquire, skills to master, and attitudes to develop.

To be effective, the content must respond to the needs of the adolescents for whom the course is intended, and take into consideration the changing needs of society.

Student Activity Book

This Human Biology Activity Book was prepared as a resource for the Human Biology 314 course by a committee of teachers in 1999 while working at the Howard S. Billings High School. This committee was funded by a P.D.I.G. grant. In 2001 the Science Action Plan Committee (SAPCO) made this resource material available to our English schools through the Science Resource Centre of the QESN Récit.
