Secondary Mathematics Program Information

The Quebec Education Program at the Secondary level is broken down into Cycles.

Secondary Cycle One  has two years, Year 1 and Year 2,  formerly equivalent to Grade 7 and 8.  In Cycle One all students take a similar math program over two years.
Secondary Cycle Two has three years, covering the last three years of the secondary program.
In Cycle Two the mathematics program is regarded as a  three year program. In Secondary Cycle Two , Year 1 all students  take a similar program, whereas in Year 2 and 3 of Cycle Two the students have more options depending upon their chosen path or level of interest and skills.

The three Mathematics Options are:
    Mathematics - Science Option
    Mathematics - Technical and Scientific Option
    Mathematics - Cultural, Social and Technical Option
