On October 3, 2009, McGill University hosted a presentation by His Holiness the Dalai Lama on education, ethics and religion in today’s world.  Faculty of Education students, selected from Quebec’s English and French universities, were invited to attend this much anticipated event. Following the talk, His Holiness responded to students’ questions. (Adapted text from:  Dalai Lama Montréal, Educators.)

Due to the importance of this event, the LEARN web site was closed to regular traffic on Oct. 3rd 2009, and only broadcast His Holiness's address and his conversation with those student teachers in attendance.  On Oct. 4th regular services resumed.

Once the presentation and following question period ended, the regular LEARN web site will reopened.  Related resources and additional information are now available. Eventually we expect to provide a downloadable podcast of the video stream.  A DVD is also in the works.
For now browse photos, multi-media and other documents related to the event.  LEARN has also posted biographical notes on the Dalai Lama, selections of his writings, and a list of books authored by His Holiness.  In this way, a meaningful place to share important experiences in the area of ethics and religious education will form, a place where we can all continue the conversation.
