Description:
This project allows students to observe one another’s performances within a collective activity. For instance, after a group of students form a pyramid, one student will take a picture of the formation. This will allow the performers of the pyramid to view themselves and apply modification to realize a better pyramid. The students will learn, observe and discuss as a group which aspects of their pyramid need to be improved or kept before trying to perform a better pyramid.
How to realize this project:
1- Several digital cameras should be accessible to the class.
2- Take a picture of the group’s performance.
3- Allow the students to view, observe and discuss their performance.
4- Allow students to use the device when needed to help them improve their performance.
Equipment needed:
- Handheld device (pocket PC, palm) or
- Digital camera
Added value:
- The students become more familiar with using various technologies.
- The students can see themselves in action, which can allow for adjustments to their performance.
- The students can discuss the aspects of their performance that they want to keep or improve on.
