OSBORNE PERRY ANDERSON

Anderson was the only Canadian to fight at Harper's Ferry in 1859 along side John Brown, who was hanged. During the American Civil War, the well known song "John Brown's Body" became a marching song of the Union Army.

Anderson survived Harper's Ferry to fight against slavery in the Civil War. He died in 1872.
