Mother Nature Enraged: Task Division Outline
What will students be producing, questioning, learning? And how much time will it
take?
The learning situation is broken down into various stages, but first it helps to think about where we are going, what we are asking ourselves, and then how we will get there.
The Final Product:
A written report, news bulletin or other text
The written report should include a cartoon and visual materials.
The teams that choose to produce a news bulletin must hand in a written version of the
script (newsreader, reporter, witness, law enforcement officials, doctors, etc.).
The report must include:
- Location (map, the country’s context, level of development, etc.)
- Type of hazard and brief history
- Humanitarian aid aspect
- Answer to the original question: Does Mother Nature attack the poorest?
