Proctor

An earlier version of the Interactive Tutorial, it consists of 250 multiple choice questions. The questions are categorized by Module and Unit. Graphics (maps and charts) are in separate files divided by Module, to be downloaded and printed for your students . Good for older computers. 
PURPOSE: To allow students to work on a computer individually or in small groups, in order to practice with Describe, Analyze and Synthesize type of Multiple Choice Questions.  
USE: In a learning situation with rationales provided by the computer or in an testing situation with scoring, review and re-testing provided. 

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Computer with DOS

INSTRUCTIONS:

A- ¨TEST SITUATION¨

1-At "A: prompt" student inserts diskette into A-Drive or B-drive

Types PROCTOR

In Windows RUN,BROWSE, select proctor.exe

2-Selects color (Blue is nice!)

3-Selects exam (ex: Module 1, Unit 1)

4-Follows instructions on screen

5-Refers to binder when prompted for Maps

6-Scores test (F5)

7-Reviews test (R)

(Both the student answer and correct answer are displayed)

8-Retakes test to improve score

B- ¨LEARNING SITUATION ¨

Same as above except that after selecting a response the students will be provided with a rationale as to why their response was correct or not correct. As a result 100% success is achieved.

GENERAL COMMENTS:

Questions are indexed by Module, Unit and Topic as per attached.

Best used individually (testing) or in small groups (2 per computer learning)

Could be used at end of Unit or Module.
