This site targets children of the senior elementary level, who will explore the site with their guide, Pierre Boucher. Early Canadiana Online / Notre memoire en ligne
Early Canadiana Online (ECO) is a collaborative research project to provide Web access to a
digital library of primary sources in Canadian history from the first European contact to the late
19th century. The collection is particularly strong in the subject areas of literature, women's
history, travel and exploration, native studies and the history of French Canada. ECO has
recently released educational resources to accompany the Early Canadiana Online collection.

Heritage Project
The Heritage Project is a long-term educational programme developed to raise greater
interest and awareness in Canada's past. By linking what children see at home, on television and on
computer screens to their studies, the Project aims to actively engage all Canadians in the sharing
of their stories with each other, and with the world.
Historical Atlas of Canada
This site is intended to be a supplement to the print version of the "Historical Atlas of
Canada Volume II: The Land Transformed 1800-1891". Students can access the tabular data
behind the charts and maps of this reference. The screen images of the charts and maps are
simplified renditions of the text versions.
Hudson's Bay Company Digital Collection
Images of the Hudson's Bay Company's museum collection donated to the Manitoba Museum of Man
and Nature. Resources are organized within 10 categories, including Inuit Cultures, Aboriginal

Musée Mccord Museum - Keys to History
The McCord Museum conserves, studies and presents a remarkable collection of objects,

A weekly Web Site which presents a variety of events that have shaped Canada's past, present
and future. These short texts are summaries, not complete histories, meant to entice the reader to

Royal Canadian Mint
The Royal Canadian Mint is an important part of Canada and Canadian history. This part of
the site is dedicated to archiving the education modules prepared for distribution via Schoolnet.
These modules were prepared in partnership with an education professional, and contain
pedagogically appropriate materials for children from ages 5 to 15.
