Macintosh Hypercard Jeopardy style game board. Students work individually and compete with other students or with their former performances to better their score. Each question answered leads to a tutorial. The current version contains Game 1, which is based on Module 5, as well as a blank shell which will allow teachers or students to create their own versions of Timesquares.
Timesquares was developed by Len Harney, Social Studies consultant at the English Montreal School Board.
System requirements:
- Macintosh computer with system 6.07
- Hypercard 2.0
Downloading the game:
The game requires a folder on your hard drive and/or a 2mb capacity formatted high-density diskette (if you want to install it on several computers).
When you are ready, click on the FILE below, and follow your Browser's instructions for downloading files.
Playing the game:
1-Insert diskette ¨Time Squares¨ into drive and click on diskette to start OR Click on the "tsq Folder" on your desktop.
3-Click on "Time Squares Game 1-a".
4-Click on START button on main screen.
5-Click on RESET button in lower left hand side of screen with the Time Squares Gameboard.
6-Click Browse tool on Category and Value to start the Game e.g. Click on "People for 100"
7-Continue to select questions in any order desired until desired number of questions are answered.
8-Click on RESET button at end of game.
