Music Mysteries
This site is aimed at 4 - 11 year olds. You do have to be able to read to play the games independently. The mystery leads the user to play a series of games based on sounds, rhythm, mood as well as on the instruments of the orchestra.

This is a delightful site in which students can explore music from a variety of angles.

The New York Philharmonic Kidzone! 


This is an outstanding site. There are a number of sections relevant for creation:
•    Composition Workshop, where students can explore different aspects of music (pitch, rhythm, colour, etc)
•    A Game Room, with trivia games, matching games and more
•    An Instrument Room, where you can learn more about each orchestral instrument as well as see what it looks like and hear the sound it makes
•    An Instrument Lab where you can learn to make a variety of instruments
