The
Kindergarten Development Profile (KDP)
The KDP was designed to provide a spectrum of what a kindergarten student could look like across the six areas of competency as defined by the Preschool Education Program. The descriptions are related to the evaluation criterai of each cometency.
The KDP is an authentic assessment tool that teachers can use to help track their student's progress in an ongoing manner. In addition, we believe that the KDP will help kindergarten teachers better connect the Quebec Education Program to their classroom practices and can assist in providing for differentiated learning for all their students.
Podcast : Kim McGrath explain the KDP and how it can be used.
