- Respects the Kindergarten mandate.
- Respects the transdisciplinary nature of the Preschool Education Program
- Encourages the child to be active(kinaesthetic sensory), reflective and metacognitive
- Provides different avenues for children to demonstrate the same learning goal (not necessarily concrete measures)
- Purposeful and meaningful for the child with respect to the contexts of the development of the competencies.
- Is process driven
