Welcome to Personal Development

These different yet complementary subjects all aim to help students understand and put into practice values such as commitment, solidarity, equality, dignity, and respect for themselves, others and the environment.

Elementary Ethics and Religious Culture

The new Ethics and Religious Culture course will be taught in elementary and secondary level classrooms in September 2008. To support teachers in its implementation, a new site has been created containing Learning and Evaluation Situations, graphic organizers, content-related material and additional resources.

This program will help students gain a sense of self-responsibility for their fitness and health and to enable them to adapt to the requirements of modern life:
  • by developing a repertoire of movement skills and cognitive strategies,
  • by building the critical sense they need to manage their health wisely,
  • by strengthening behaviours consistent with safety and ethical rules,
  • by acquiring positive attitudes in their relationships with others.
