Societies in Cycle 2 Elementary

"The development of the prescribed competencies requires that students be encouraged to question social and territorial phenomena of the present and to seek their origins or expla- nations in social and territorial phenomena of the past. The learnings concerning each society in its territory allow students to construct an explanation that gives meaning to the present. The societies and territories studied help give students an overview of the Canadian territory and of some reference points in the history of Québec and Canada."  p194 QEP
