What’s new about the Connected Classroom Registry?

The Connected Classroom Registry now offers you THREE ways to find partners for your class-to-class projects and its new interface makes consulting the registry as well as advertising in it a cinch.

	PROJECTS OR ACTIVITIES You have a pretty clear idea of what you’d like your students to do with one or more partner classes.  Your project is structured and you would like to find partners to work with. Advertise your PROJECT here !  Just fill in the form and explain what the classes will be doing.
	PARTNER SEARCH You have a general idea, a theme, a subject or an objective you’d like to work on with a partner class, but you’re not quite definite about the details. Use the PARTNER SEARCH form to invite one or more educators to join you in fleshing out the idea to meet each one’s needs.  The form offers 22 general start-up ideas for inspiration.  If you select one, you will be invited to personalise it.  But you can just explain it your own way too.
	VIDEOCONFERENCING You’d like to find a class with whom to do a videoconferencing project. The VIDEOCONFERENCING form gives you the possibility to explain what you’d like to work on and to give details about your equipment in order to find “compatible” partners.

What happens next?

When you use any of these forms, your project or idea is automatically added to the Connected Classroom Registry, after approval by the moderator, AND your announcement is sent out, via email, to the Class-Connect mailing list to reach as many educators as possible.  French second language projects are also announced on the Fran-Net mailing list.
