The General Context
A personal mailing list is created by users from addresses in their personal address book or from the public address book on their server. It allows users to send E-mail messages to all the members of this list.
The Issues
Disclosing E-mail Addresses
Creating and using a personal mailing list has the drawback of disclosing to each recipient the E-mail address of all the other recipients.
Users should therefore be asked their consent before being included in a personal mailing list, since their address will be disclosed to all the members of the list.
