Sharing Photographs

There are many sites for sharing photographs. They all offer the possibility of tagging so that photos on a particular subject or place can be easily found. Here are a few possibilities

Flickr
Flickr is a site where people post photographs. When posting you can designate photographs public (viewable by anyone) or private (viewable only by you or the people you invite to see them). Tagging them (giving them key words) allows anyone who uses the site to find photographs based on those words

Sharing Powerpoint Presentations

Slideshare
Powerpoint presentations can be uploaded and shared publicly or privately. They can then be embedded on webpages and / or downloaded by others
http://www.slideshare.net/

Google Docs
Google Docs has a presentation section. You can create PowerPoint like presentations (no animations or transitions) online. You can collaborate with others in the creation of the presentation and present to remote viewers (simply send the url of the presentation) with the possibilitiy of live chat during the presentation. A PowerPoint presentation can be uploaded and then worked on collaboratively (all animations and transitions are stripped out). However, you can not save the Google presentation to your computer as a Powerpoint - only as a pdf or text file.
