Use this organiser to help you create the message of your project invitation. Adapt it
to your needs and include any information your project requires.
Highlight the text below the line and Copy it. Then, Paste it in your word processor to complete the form. Delete the instructions and type in your text. When you are ready to send it on a mailing list, copy your project invitation from your Word Processor and Paste it in the body of an Email message. (Get help to copy-paste from one application to another) Send it to QESN-post@qesnrecit.qc.ca and send it to other mailing lists as well.
Announcements received this way will be sent to Connect-Classes subscribers AND posted on the Connected Classroom's Registry of Telecollaborative Projects .

(Find a catchy title for your project. Instead of "Survey of recycling habits in schools",
call it "Trash Counts"; instead of "A visit to Upper Canada Village", say "Join the Pioneers!". An
interesting title will pique the reader's interest.)

Project Level of Difficulty:
( Can you give participants an idea about how easy they can expect your project to be? Short
activities often deal with a specific subject matter, they don't require extensive computer use and
can usually be done using E-mail only. Longer term projects are often real-life
project-based, require more time to integrate and may call on participants to use software such as
word processors, image editors, cameras and other web or non-web based tools.)

Other Requirements:
Maximum Number of Groups Accepted in the Project:
(Will you accept only a certain number of participants and cut registration off after that
number is reached ?)
Added Comments:
(Add what you want to reassure and clarify. This would be a good place to tell people
whether you plan to send them more detailed instructions once they have registered. You could also
tell them in what ways your project can enrich the usual classroom fare. Why not talk about your
classroom experience with it, or what you plan for your own students. After all, if you took the
trouble to offer it as a telecollaborative project, you must have ideas about how to get the most
out of it. This sharing will be appreciated.)
