Building Concept maps with Cmap (Basics)

CMAP is a free (open source) mind mapping software available for Mac, Windows and Linux. You download and install it on your computer. [  Cmap   ]

This is a useful tool for recording ideas in a more visual manner and then being able to manipulate and move these ideas around, reorganize them and make links between them.

Using styles, the user can change colour,  shapes, arrows, etc. in these documents.  They can be exported in a variety of formats so that they can be incorporated in other ways and by other programs.

One example is as a Cmap outline that can then be opened by WORD or other Word processing programs formating your "concepts" as a text outline to continue in the writing process.
