LEARN was recently asked to help out at the recent Geography training session entitled "Bangladesh-Territory at Risk"

The session was designed and delivered by Canjita Gomez and Rodney Handelsman of the EMSB.  Paul Rombough from LEARN assisted on May 15th, in order to help set the seeds for a new community of Geography teachers in Quebec.

The Geography section of the LEARN Social Sciences area offers a variety of organized resource collections  as well as suggested approaches for the new Cycle 1 program.  During the training session, teachers toured these particular pages, but they also considered ways to connect to the larger Social Sciences community.

Now that the forums are active on the LEARN site (via My LEARN Homepage in protected area) a support forum was setup for this workshop, to display materials and teaching ideas that were shared during the two day session, and to gather new resources around the topic Territory at Risk.
